loved the show and never missed it, and thought I was addicted. WRONG. Now that I've seen Moonlight I understand what true addiction to a show really is. I still think x-files was the finest science fiction show to appear on network TV. And FOX started it out on dead Friday nights, but saw it's potential and stuck it out. They ended up with a mega-hit that is a household word everywhere. Unlike CBS, who had a good starter in the same time slot, but cancelled after the first season because they thought, with absolutely no evidence to back up their opinion, and lots that contradicted it, that it wasn't going to make it. FOx was rewarded for treating X-Files right. The opposite kharma is going to affect CBS big time.

“I looove the x-files!!! Mulder is sooo totally cool! I feel bad for Doggett, ”

he had some big shoes to feel, and it was impossible for anyone except Mulder to be on the show. Go Mulder!

I can honestly say this was one awesome show, I have all nine seasons on DVD and I watch them all the time. Season 1 was a great start, if a little cheesy at times, they had some seriously interesting episodes. Season 2 got better, and more dramatic and developed the show deeper. Season 3 is considered by many THE BEST season, but in my opinion that goes to Season 4 or 5 at the moment, season 6 was good but not up to standard in my opinion nor was Season 7, a lot of people will dissagree but I think season 8 was such a dramatic awesome season it's definitely one of my favorites, season was pretty good, better then season 7.

In the end, I really love this show, and I think anyone interested in werid and paranormal things should give this show a chance. Believe me you'll be thanking me that you did.

It was picked up for a second season despite finishing 102nd out of the 118 shows in the U.S. Nielsen ratings. Fox has lost their courage and it's certain they wouldn't have let this show get through it's poor ratings of it's first season. You would think Fox would have learned from this extremely profitable show that it takes a while to build a following. So many other shows which had the potential to gain as serious a following have been tanked too soon...
