He wrote, produced, directed and starred in this movie that sprang from tales his grandfather, a WWI and Passchendaele vet, told him. I love that, and I will be in line...maybe even at the TIFF which I usually avoid like the plague, to see it.

After all, from a guy who helped bring us Slings and Arrows and Due South and my most favourite quirky movie of all time; Getting Married at Buffalo Jump...I expect great things!
