After watching this movie it felt like a cheap knock off of the real thing. I'd like to compare it to going to Starbucks, expecting quality yummy coffee - just like you've had before- but instead getting a cup of instant coffee wrapped in the Starbucks pretty packaging. Bait & Switch. I felt I was used and suckered out of my money.

As my husband and I left the theater, in shock and wondering what just happened he says, " That was NOT an Indiana Jones movie. That was National Treasure 2. I've been tricked!" Really. If you had watched NT2 First then seen this you probably would agree. The similarities are eerie.

The parts of the story that could have used a bit of depth and devleopment (Indie's son/relationship with Marian etc) was just passed over. The movie had potential, but they decided to spend the budget on CGI effects rather than writing and character/ plot development. It felt as if TPTB didn't care to really put effort into it becuase it had the Big Names.

this movie was a complete JOKE. my friends and i started laughing towards the end as it got more and more ridiculous.

it was a bad combination of the second national treasure + independence day. it should NOT have been this bad. but the conveniently plot points, the horrible writing, and the STUPID premise. it didn't even make any sense!!!!

It seems like he phones these movies in anymore.

I heard that when he directed Jurassic Park II, he actually directed scenes over the internet while sitting on the livingroom floor playing with his kids.

Must be nice.

Spielberg used to be the master of character development. To this day, I can still sit and watch Jaws every time it comes on. Although it was an exciting adventure movie, he knew how to pace the film and take the right moments to slow down and make you care about the characters.

In the Crystal Caves, all the characters did was run around, being chased by special effects. The fire ant sequence, for example, should have been cut by 2/3s.

Steven counts on us knowing these characters, and didn't develop them. Perhaps this is true, but we always want to see into the characters' souls and care about them.

Harrison Ford making blinky eyes at Karen Allen was not enough to ressurect their romance in my eyes, and I was left flat.

So what if it's mostly just a preview of the Disneyland ride. I enjoyed every minute of seeing them again, and having those two get back together, even if it was cheesily done. Who cares?

“I'm glad I don't listen to critics!”

While this installment was not "Raiders" or even "The Last Crusade" it was infinitely better than "Temple of Doom" (I can still hear "that woman" screaming constantly...). I thought it was a great romp, and full of humour too. You definitely need to be able to suspend disbelief, but then all of the Indy movies required that.

I'm glad I saw it. I was very entertained by it, and I gladly change my rating to a "strong like"!

Even though so many years have passed between the last film and this one, they did a great job tying them together. I missed Sean Connery, but who wouldn't? The alien's didn't bother me either because I mean lets be real, there are only so many religeous artifacts Indy would be interested in chasing after. It was a great overall fun film to watch and I would be up for watching another, especially if it were made sooner than 2023 ;)

“Indiana Jones and The Far Fetched Plot”

The jungle action sequences were classic Indy but the aliens just did not belong. Only Spielberg would do something like this.
